Nameservers point the domain name to your IP address.
Lets look, for example, at aprospect.com. When you type www.aprospect.com into your web-browser, you go to the website. The real problem is how does your browser KNOW that aprospect.com really is: http://216.67.250.37 ?
Your browser doesn't, but that's why you REGISTERED your domain name. Let's go back to www.Namcheap.com, log in again and set up your name servers. Your nameservers may be different from mine, so use the ones provided in your welcome mail from your host.
Once logged into namecheap, look for this link.
![]()
Once there you will see many options. You want to "MODIFY DNS", Just Click GO in the proper box. It looks like this:

Ok, below is what you will see after clicking GO. Enter in your nameservers. They may not be unique to you if you used 5dollarwebs, so don't worry if they are the same as mine. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR WELCOME MAIL FROM YOUR HOST FOR PROPER NAMESERVER INFO!

Ok, enter in the above just like I did (or your nameservers if different), and click "save changes".
If all went well you will see:

Changing Domain Name Servers takes awhile to filter through the web.
Don't worry if you can't find your domain for the first 48 to 72 hours.
That is the reason why your welcome mail gives you addresses like:
http://216.67.250.37
Next, It's time to go look at your Control Panel. The webmasters best friend!
