The first thing you will need to do now that you are in your Control Panel is set up your E-mail 

Look for this section in your control panel, click Email accounts.

Below is what you will see.

Right now you see your "main" account. 

This area also allows you to create new email address's. See the link at the bottom? 

The best part about Cpanel, is it allows you to auto configure Outlook Express.  Just click the button at the end of each email address in the above area, and PRESTO, it's loaded into your Outlook Express.****(see below for specific settings)

To use the SMTP server (If you don't know if you have access to the SMTP Server please ask your web host) to check your Email, please use the server mail.yourdomain.com OR 'Your IP'. Please note that the SMTP server requires authentication, so make sure to select "My Server requires authentication" and "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" in your mail reader.
How to do it:
1- Open your mail reader (i.e. Outlook Express) and click on Tools --> Accounts.
2- Select your account in the list and click on "Properties".
3- Click on Server and check "My server requires authentication".
4- Click on "Settings..." and make sure "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is checked.
5- Click Ok on all dialog boxes and close.
