Ok, your really moving now.  At this point you should have or be able to do the following:

Have your hosting account set up.

Have a working knowledge of Cpanel and WS-FTP LE.

Have downloaded Mailmajic v.1.02 or higher.  Please note that these instructions are for version 1.02, but will work for future versions most likely.  Make sure you read the readme file if you have doubts.

If you feel lost,  It's ok we are going to help you install your first script!  Get ready!

Below are the instructions from the "readme.txt file included in mailmajik.  Additional notes are colored dark blue to help you.  Some notes will show "sample" information reflecting what we made with aprospect.com, your information will be different.

· Unzip the file. If you have never used a .zip utility, just try to open the elmprov102.zip file.  If you don't see a new menu with file names pop-up you do not have a unzip utility.  Please do a search for a free one.

· Create a new MySQL database via your website control panel (or ask your webhost to do that for you)  If you have chosen 5dollarwebs as your host you may do so via the control panel. Click Here for a tutorial on making your first database.  Step by Step instructions for the way this is done with 5dollarwebs is given.

· upload all the files in ascii to the website that you choose
e.g.: http://www.yourdomain.com/mailmajik/

To upload in ascii make sure your WS_FTP LE has the following checked:

· make sure the directory where you want to install the Mailmajik auto-responder has FULL write permissions (CHMOD 777).

· point your browser to install.php
e.g.: http://www.yourdomain.com/mailmajik/install.php

DATABASE Population:  Fill in the following details:
· Hostname : Mostly 'localhost'  (it's local host with 5dollarwebs)
· Username : database user name  prospec_admin
· Password : database user password  prospec_pass
· Database : Database name  prospec_elmpro

Button Test DB Connection ["connect"] lets you test if these data are correct.
· If you get the message "Database Test Failed", that means that you have entered one of the above filed incorrect.
· Repeat the procedure as written above, and if there is still the error, contact your webhost.
!! MUST BE TESTED !! If not tested an permissions are not set correct, install will fail!

Button Test File Write ["test"] lets you test if the CHMOD settings are correct.
· The CHMOD settings should be 777 because the installer will write the configuration file to the hard disk
· If you get the message "Writing Config File Failed", that means that the permissions are NOT 777.
· Repeat the procedure as written above, and if there is still the error, contact your webhost.
!! MUST BE TESTED !! If not tested an permissions are not set correct, install will fail!

See the section on FTP for chmod help.  It sounds scary, but we have included pictures!

ADMINISTRATOR: Fill in the following details:  (Please note:  This information will be different than your database information......your username can be "joe", and your password could be "password".  It's completely up to you, just make it something YOU can remember.)
· Username : Choose your administrators username
· Password : Choose a password
· Confirm Password: Re-enter that password

Then HIT the button ["run"].
· You will get the message "install complete".
· If you get a "failed" message, please correct the entries in the fields and retry.  (chances are you entered something wrong above)

After 'install complete' press the button ["continue>>"] or point your browser to http://www.yourdomain.com/elmpro/index.php

You will be taken to the index.php file and you can login with the Username and Password that you entered in the installer.

· For the automated triggering of the Mailmajik auto-responder, include the code below in your highest traffic page:
<?php include('send.php'); ?>
If you have the ELMPRO autoresponder installed in a different path than the highest traffic page, you should include the path to the ELMPRO autoresponder from the page:
<?php include('path/to/send.php'); ?>
Eitherway, place the code outside of the existing PHP codetags, or when it is within the PHP codetags, just use this command:
include('end.php'); or include('path/to/send.php');

. Alternatively, you can set crontabs if you have access to setting crontabs.
. More info on triggering 'send.php' is included in the online helpfile inside the ELMPRO autoresponder.
